ICC World Cup 2015 Key Players from Each team

14 teams set off for a war to bring the cup to their motherlands. And following are the key players for every team , that all the hopes are laid onn.

NEW ZEALAND - Key Players

Kane williamson, made his first-class debut in December 2007 and the captain of the New Zealand U-19 team for the 2008 U-19 Cricket World Cup.KaneWilliamson was reported for chucking in April,2014 and  but was cleared in December 2014.He was also named as captain ahead of the
ODI and Twenty20 series against Pakistan as Brendon McCullum was rested.Williamson is currently third on the list (behind Corey Anderson and Ross Taylor) for the highest ever strike-rated century by a New Zealander in a One-Day International. He achieved this during his 100* off 69 balls against Zimbabwe at Bulawayo and On September 19,2014 he scored his first T20 scoring 101* in 49 balls and guided Northern Districts for a comfortable win against Cape Cobras in Champions League Twenty20 2014.Thewhole New Zealand team has the hopes rested on him for 2015's world cup edition.

AUSTRALIA - Key Players

Steven Smith started his career as a promising legspinner and talented batsman, but the things have changed for him in the last couple of years, the legspin has taken a back step while his batting advanced. It was his first Test match,i.e,against India in
Mohali in 2013 and in more than two years,he responded splendidly to pressure, scoring 92 and handling the spinners competently to confirm his early potential.Well Aussies do
strongly abide on his performance this season.

Following is the track record of the Australian team -
  • 2011 Quarter-final
  • 2007 Winners
  • 2003 Winners
  • 1999 Winners

SRI LANKA - Key Players

Mahela Jayawardene, the most experienced players in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 along with
Shahid Afridi,is utterly classy batsman with a huge appetite for runs. And With over 10,000 runs
in both Tests and ODIs and a captaincy stint that included a World Cup final appearance,
Mahela Jayawardene is the promising cricketer for the sri lankan's appearance in the world cup.

INDIA - Key Players

Virat Kohli, who plays his game aggressively and bares his emotions loudly in public is the guy on whose       shouldersall the Indian cricket fans have rested their trust for the upcoming season of ICC world cup 2015.Anil Kumble said he had thought hard before calling Kohli the best under-22 player in international cricket - that would rate as perhaps the best compliments he has received. It is also proof of Kohli's transformation as a player. And the most advantageous stuff is that Mark Taylor said about Virat is that he Knows How to play Cricket in Australia.

ENGLAND - Key Players

James Taylor is out to prove that when it comes to cricket size isn't everything. Players diminutive in stature have had excellent international careers-Shiv Chanderpaul is just one example of that - but when Taylor made his Test debut against South Africa at Headingley in 2012, even his batting partner, Kevin Pietersen, expressed his misgivings. Currently he is the only batsman from England who has been impressive with batting in the ongoing series,i.e.,England and Srilanka.

SOUTH AFRICA - Key Players

AB de Villiers and Dale Steyn are the two key players for their chances to win the ICC Worldcup 2015.A batsman of breathtaking chutzpah and enterprise, as well as the skills and the temperament required to back up his creative intent. A fielder able to leap tall buildings and still come up with the catch. A wicketkeeper who is perfectly at ease donning pads and gloves. A fine rugby player, golfer, and tennis player. All AB de Villiers needs to show off his abundant gifts is a ball. Just about any ball. Few fast bowlers evoke the kind of excitement one experiences when Dale Steyn is in full flow. His rhythmic sprint to the crease and the whippy release form a modern action that can berepeated quite consistently and is something all young fast bowlers yearn for. Predominantly an out-swing bowler, Steyn, like all high quality bowlers, has the ability to surprise and strike with the one the other way too.

PAKISTAN - Key Players

Umar Akmal, his fearlessness at the crease and his wide array of strokes had pundits gushing for superlatives, as throughout that series and on the tour to Australia which followed, Umar consistently got starts. Given that he had also scored a century in his third ODI, and that Pakistan were on the lookout for middle-order talent,it appeared Umar would be a certainty in the team in all formats for several years to come. Pakistanis even have the backbone, the Boom Boom AFRIDI,who can hit big shots any time when the team is in need of the runs.

WEST INDIES - Key Players

Marlon Samuels,so far struggled to realise his potential and thanks to the various
controversies he has been embroiled in. When he started his Test career at 19,
without yet representing his native Jamaica in a first-class match, his composure
and skill prompted comparisons - quite unfairly - with Viv Richards. His technique
was near to faultless, and he exudes a bull-headed confidence - he used to skip his
schoolwork on the basis that exams were irrelevant to future Test cricketers. In the
previous series against INDIA ,Marlon Samuels was the only player who impressed the
crowd with his batting potential during the whole series.

BANGLADESH - Key Players

Shakib Al Hasan,is an all-rounder batting left-handed in the middle order and bowling slow left-arm orthodox. Shakib Al Hasan is unarguably the best cricketer that Bangladesh have ever had. As a bowler,he is accurate, consistent, and canny; and his aggression and a wide range of strokes are the keys to his batting. Even more importantly, he has self-belief an excellent temperament, unflustered by the big occasion and ready to do battle against the top teams. Many of the games that Bangladesh have won,the whole credits are delivered to Shakib Al Hasan.

AFGHANISTAN - Key Players

Abdullah Mazari, commonly referred to as Abdullah,is an Afghan cricket player.A left-handed batsman and left-arm orthodox spin bowler, he has played for the Afghanistan national cricket team since 2001 and has also played for Peshawar, Peshawar Panthers and Afghan Cheetahs.Afghanistan has produced some very talented cricket players over the years, including slips, sweepers and wicket-keepers.The only key for them is Abdullah Mazari.

IRELAND - Key Players

Kevin O'Brien, an Irish cricketer who plays for Railway Union Cricket Club and has played for several English county cricket clubs. He holds the world record for the fastest century ever scored at a World Cup, coming from 50 balls against England on 2 March 2011.This guy has the capability of fighting with the big teams and he's the key player that they have got.

UAE - Key Players

Khurram Khan, has been playing for the UAE since 2001 when he turned out for the team at the 2001 ICC Trophy in Canada, where he played ten games over the course of the two-week tournament. With 243 runs over eight innings,Khurram had the highest batting average of the UAE team with 60.75. He also bowled the most for UAE, taking 19 wickets in his 95 overs, at a bowling average of 13.52 - taking joint third-most wickets of the tournament, behind Roland Lefebvre and Soren Vestergaard.
Following is the track record of UAE's ICC World Cup Qualifier : -
  1. 1979 to 1986: Not eligible – Not an ICC member
  2. 1990: Did not participate
  3. 1994: Winners
  4. 1997: 10th place
  5. 2001: 5th place
  6. 2005: 6th place
  7. 2009: 7th place
  8. 2014: Runner up(Qualified for 2015 Cricket World Cup)

ZIMBABWE - Key Players

Prosper Utseya, former captain of Zimbabwe from 2006 to 2010. He bowls right-arm off break and is a useful right-hand batsman. He was ranked 15th in the ICC ODI Bowling Rankings in September 2006.In August 2014, Utseya reported for a suspect bowling action following the third ODI against South Africa in Bulawayo. Utseya was the fourth offspinner to have been reported for a suspect action over the last few months others are Sachithra Senanayake, Kane Williamson and Saeed Ajmal. And the good news is that Prosper Utseya has been cleared by ICC to bowl slow medium deliveries, after undergoing remedial work on his action.

SCOTLAND - Key Players

Calum MacLeod, the allarounder nearly lost his way with a faulty action, but he's backand He made four international hundreds in 2014,fusing raw power-hitting down the ground
with late cuts and scoops. Two centuries in consecutive games in January-a 62-ball 113
against the UAE and 175 against Canada - propelled Scotland to the World Cup.Scotland's
only victory against a Test side remains a T20 win over Bangladesh in 2012. With his
range of shots and improved judgement over when to use them, aligned to his fierce
self-belief, MacLeod represents his team's most likely chances of adding to that
achievement in the World Cup and he's the key to Scotland's hopes of making an
impression at the World Cup.
